Our terms and policies, in one place.

Every term below is the one shown at enrollment, word for word.

At a glance

When coverage begins

Coverage applies to IRS and state tax notices dated on or after your coverage start date, which is the day of your first successful payment. A notice dated before then, or a matter already under way when you enroll, is not covered.

Cancelling

Cancel anytime.

Cancel anytime from your dashboard in one click. No phone call, no chat, and no offer to click through. Once you cancel, you are not charged again, and your coverage continues through the last day of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds

Payments are non-refundable once processed. The one exception is the 30-day money-back guarantee on your first Aeday membership: cancel within 30 days after your first payment without having submitted a case, and every payment you have made is refunded and your coverage ends when you cancel. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges. Outside the guarantee, cancellation does not affect payments already made.

What is not covered

  • Court proceedings. Aeday does not represent you in Tax Court or any other court.
  • Preparing or filing tax returns.
  • The tax, penalty or interest itself.

Your plan page lists every exclusion before you pay.

Terms of Use

The rules for using the Aeday website, member portal and eligibility tools.

Effective

About these Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of https://aeday.com, the Aeday website, member portal, eligibility tools, and related online services (collectively, the "Site").

The Site is operated by Aeday LLC, of 2830 S Hulen St, Fort Worth, TX 76109, doing business as Aeday ("Aeday," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you purchase an Aeday membership, your membership and representation services are also governed by the Membership Service Agreement and the applicable Plan Schedule. If there is a conflict concerning membership coverage, billing, or representation services, the Membership Service Agreement and Plan Schedule control.

1. Eligibility to use the Site

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Site or enroll in a membership.

The Site and any membership offered through it are offered in the United States, for United States federal and state tax matters, and are not directed to people in other countries.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. Eligibility results depend on the information you provide and may be corrected if information is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.

Each time you answer the eligibility questions, enroll, or submit anything through the Site, you represent that what you give is true, complete, and yours to give, and you must tell us promptly if it stops being true. An eligibility result, an enrollment, or a coverage determination made on information that was not true and complete may be corrected or withdrawn, as the Membership Service Agreement describes.

2. The Site does not itself provide tax or legal advice

General information, questionnaires, illustrations, FAQs, advertising, calculators, examples, and educational content on the Site are provided for general informational purposes.

They are not individualized tax advice, legal advice, an opinion regarding the merits of a tax matter, or a guarantee of any particular result.

Professional representation begins only when:

  1. you have an active membership with representation coverage in effect;
  2. you submit a Request for Representation;
  3. Aeday determines that the matter is covered; and
  4. any required professional engagement, authorization, or power-of-attorney documentation is completed.

3. Membership terms

Aeday memberships are recurring subscriptions.

The price, renewal frequency, coverage start date, coverage terms, cancellation terms, and exclusions shown to you at enrollment form part of your agreement.

The exact price and renewal terms displayed and affirmatively accepted at checkout control.

See the Membership Service Agreement, applicable Plan Schedule, and Payments, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials, maintaining accurate contact information, protecting access to your email and devices, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized account access.

You may not share an account in a manner that circumvents plan eligibility or permits another person to receive services not included in the membership.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Site to:

  • submit false, altered, forged, fraudulent, or misleading documents;
  • conceal when a tax notice, audit, examination, or other matter began;
  • seek coverage for a known pre-existing matter by misrepresenting dates or facts;
  • impersonate another person;
  • gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
  • interfere with Site security;
  • introduce malware or harmful code;
  • infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights; or
  • use the Site in violation of law.

Aeday may suspend or end your access to the Site if it reasonably believes you have broken these Terms, to investigate suspected fraud, security threats, or misuse, or where the law requires it.

If you hold a membership when your access is suspended or ended, you can still cancel it by writing to support@aeday.com, and the membership itself continues or ends only as the Membership Service Agreement describes.

6. Intellectual property

The Site, Aeday branding, text, graphics, interface, software, designs, logos, and other content are owned by or licensed to Aeday and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Aeday grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Site for your personal use in connection with Aeday services.

7. Third-party services

The Site may rely on third-party providers for hosting, payments, identity verification, communications, analytics, security, and other functions.

Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Electronic communications

By using the Site or creating an account, you consent to receive transactional communications electronically, including enrollment confirmations, billing receipts, renewal notices where required, cancellation confirmations, security notices, service communications, and communications concerning a submitted tax matter.

Marketing communications may be opted out of using the unsubscribe method provided in the communication.

Section 18 of the Aeday Membership Service Agreement describes how to change the email address we use, how to get a paper copy of a record at no charge, how to withdraw your consent to electronic records, and what you need to receive and keep them.

9. Availability and changes

We may modify, maintain, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Site from time to time.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

10. No guarantee of outcome

Tax agencies control their own procedures, deadlines, decisions, assessments, and enforcement actions.

Aeday does not guarantee that a notice will be withdrawn, that an audit will be resolved in your favor, any reduction in taxes, penalties, or interest, or any particular tax result.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the same extent, Aeday disclaims every warranty not stated in these Terms, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, and any warranty that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or harmful components. No eligibility result, answer, or other content on the Site is a promise that a matter will be covered.

Nothing in these Terms disclaims obligations that cannot legally be disclaimed or limits professional duties owed by an authorized representative under applicable law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aeday will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising solely from your use of or inability to use the Site.

To the same extent, the most Aeday is liable for, in total, for everything arising out of your use of the Site, is the amount you paid Aeday in the 12 months before the event the liability arises from. A membership, and what it includes, is subject to the limits stated in the Membership Service Agreement.

This section does not alter duties applicable to professional representation under the Membership Service Agreement or a separate professional engagement.

Where the law of the place you live does not allow a limit in this section, the limit applies to the fullest extent that law allows.

13. Governing law and venue

Except where mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Texas.

Any court proceeding concerning these Terms must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Tarrant County, Texas, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change materially affects an existing paid membership, we will provide notice where required by law.

A change takes effect on the effective date shown with these Terms. If you keep using the Site after that date, you accept the change. If you do not accept it, stop using the Site, and cancel any membership as the Membership Service Agreement describes.

15. Your responsibility for how you use the Site

You will repay Aeday for any loss, cost, or reasonable legal fee Aeday incurs because you broke these Terms, gave false information or documents through the Site, or used the Site unlawfully.

This does not make you responsible for a loss caused by Aeday's own negligence or misconduct.

16. Disputes

Before either you or Aeday starts a court proceeding about Aeday's website, its member portal, a membership, or a Request for Representation, the one starting it must first send the other a written description of the dispute and of what they ask for, and give the other 60 days after receiving it to resolve the dispute. You send yours to support@aeday.com or to Aeday LLC, 2830 S Hulen St, Fort Worth, TX 76109; Aeday sends its description to the email address on your account.

A proceeding about any of those must be started within two years after the right to bring it arises, unless the law does not allow that time to be shortened.

This section does not stop either of us from asking a court for urgent relief to prevent immediate harm, and it does not limit any right the law does not allow to be given up.

17. General terms

If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remains in effect.

If Aeday does not enforce a part of these Terms in one case, it has not given up its right to enforce it later or in any other case.

You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else.

Aeday Membership Service Agreement

The agreement between you and Aeday LLC covering your membership and what representation you may receive.

Effective

About this Agreement

This Membership Service Agreement ("Agreement") is between Aeday LLC, of 2830 S Hulen St, Fort Worth, TX 76109, doing business as Aeday ("Aeday," "we," "us," or "our"), and the person enrolling in an Aeday membership ("Member," "you," or "your").

This Agreement governs your recurring membership and your eligibility to receive the tax-representation services described in your applicable Plan Schedule.

Read the whole Agreement. Sections 3, 5, 7, 8 and 16 limit what is covered and say what you must do to receive representation.

Definitions

In this Agreement, in the Plan Schedule, and in the Payments, Cancellation & Refund Policy, these words have the meanings below.

Tax agency The Internal Revenue Service, or the individual income-tax agency of a state.

Notice A written communication from a tax agency, whether it arrives by mail or electronically.

Matter An inquiry, proposed change, examination, adjustment, assessment, appeal, or other action by a tax agency concerning the individual income tax of a person your Plan covers, together with every notice about it. Everything concerning the same tax return, or the same item of income, credit, deduction, withholding, or other reported position for the same tax year, is one matter. So is an examination or inquiry that a tax agency extends from one tax year to another.

Later notice Any notice about a matter after the first one, such as a reminder, a second request, a proposed or final adjustment, a notice of deficiency, a notice of a balance due, or a notice about an appeal. A later notice is part of the matter it concerns and never begins a new matter, whatever date it carries.

When a matter begins A matter begins on the earliest of these dates: the date printed on any notice about it; the date you, or anyone acting for you, first received any notice or other communication from a tax agency about it; the date the tax agency opened it, as its records show; and the date you first had reason to expect it.

Reason to expect You had reason to expect a matter on the earliest date on which any of these happened: a tax agency, a tax preparer, an employer, a payer, or anyone else told you that a tax agency had raised the matter or would raise it; you received a notice about the same item of income, credit, or deduction for another tax year; or you filed, or were told you needed to file, an amended return or other correction concerning the same item.

Request for Representation Your request, made through your Aeday account with the notice attached, that Aeday represent you on a matter.

Covered Matter A matter that Aeday accepts under section 7 as covered by your Plan.

1. What Aeday is

Aeday provides a prepaid membership through which eligible members may receive professional representation for certain covered IRS and state individual income-tax matters that first arise while representation coverage is active.

Aeday may provide services through employees, independent professionals, affiliated firms, or contracted attorneys, certified public accountants ("CPAs"), enrolled agents ("EAs"), or other practitioners legally authorized to perform the assigned services.

Coverage means eligibility to receive the professional services included in your Plan. It does not mean that Aeday pays or reimburses your taxes, penalties, interest, fines, judgments, settlements, or other financial losses.

2. Your Plan

Your specific benefits and exclusions are stated in the Plan Schedule displayed before enrollment. The Plan Schedule is incorporated into this Agreement.

3. Membership Start Date and Coverage Effective Date

Membership Start Date Your membership begins when Aeday successfully processes your first payment.

Your Coverage Effective Date is the day of your first successful payment.

Your first successful payment begins both your membership and your representation coverage.

A matter is not covered if it arises, is dated, is received, is initiated, or otherwise exists before your Coverage Effective Date. This includes:

  • a letter or notice you already possess;
  • a notice dated before the Coverage Effective Date;
  • an audit, examination, inquiry, or agency matter initiated before the Coverage Effective Date;
  • an agency matter of which you had actual knowledge before the Coverage Effective Date;
  • a matter you had reason to expect before the Coverage Effective Date; and
  • every later notice about any of these, whatever date it carries and whenever you submit it.

A matter that begins before your Coverage Effective Date stays outside your coverage for as long as it lasts. A later notice about it is not covered even if it is dated after your Coverage Effective Date.

Aeday may request official notices, account transcripts, agency records, envelopes, electronic timestamps, or other reasonably relevant information to determine when a matter began.

A matter is not made eligible merely because you wait until after the Coverage Effective Date to submit it.

A Covered Matter may relate to a prior individual income-tax year if the tax-agency matter itself first arises on or after your Coverage Effective Date and all other eligibility requirements are satisfied. Aeday coverage is not limited to a single tax year unless your Plan Schedule expressly says otherwise.

4. Covered Matters

Subject to your Plan Schedule and all exclusions, Covered Matters may include professional representation concerning:

  • qualifying IRS notices;
  • qualifying notices from participating state individual income-tax agencies;
  • income-matching or underreporting notices, related proposed-adjustment notices, and later administrative correspondence before any court proceeding;
  • math-error and return-adjustment notices;
  • correspondence examinations or audits;
  • office and field examinations;
  • qualifying individual income-tax examinations;
  • credit, deduction, and documentation disputes resolvable through administrative representation;
  • administrative appeals of a covered examination or proposed adjustment before the tax agency;
  • review of a notice you submit, identifying its issue, its deadlines, the information it requests, and whether representation applies; and
  • directly related administrative communications included in the Plan Schedule.

A Covered Matter is one matter, as "Definitions" describes it, however many notices or stages it involves, including an administrative appeal of it.

5. Matters that are not covered

Unless a Plan Schedule expressly states otherwise, Aeday does not cover:

  1. any matter arising before the Coverage Effective Date;
  2. a later notice about a matter that began before the Coverage Effective Date, however the later notice is dated;
  3. United States Tax Court, state court, federal court, bankruptcy court, or other judicial proceedings;
  4. preparing, amending, or filing a tax return as a standalone service;
  5. bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or general tax-preparation services;
  6. payment or reimbursement of taxes, penalties, interest, fines, assessments, judgments, settlements, or other amounts owed;
  7. tax-debt relief or collection-resolution services, including Offers in Compromise, installment-agreement negotiation, currently-not-collectible requests, levy or lien release work, tax-debt settlement, or similar collection-resolution services, except as stated under this list;
  8. criminal tax investigations, criminal defense, or matters involving intentional tax fraud or tax evasion;
  9. matters based on knowingly false, fraudulent, forged, or materially misleading information provided by the Member;
  10. business-entity, payroll, employment, excise, estate, gift, trust, foreign, or local tax matters unless specifically included in the Plan Schedule;
  11. services Aeday or its assigned professional is not legally or ethically permitted to provide;
  12. matters where a professional conflict of interest prevents representation and no reasonably available substitute can accept the matter;
  13. a matter for which you did not meet a condition in section 8;
  14. a matter on which a person other than Aeday, or a professional Aeday assigned, represents you before a tax agency, unless Aeday agrees in writing;
  15. a notice that asks you to file a return you have not filed, or that concerns a return a tax agency prepared for you because you did not file one;
  16. a matter arising from a return, an amended return, a request for a refund or credit, or any other statement you gave a tax agency that you knew was false or incomplete when you gave it;
  17. matters submitted so late that a professional cannot reasonably act before a required deadline despite commercially reasonable efforts; or
  18. services specifically identified as excluded in the applicable Plan Schedule.

If a Covered Matter Aeday handled for you ends with an amount a tax agency assesses, Aeday may ask that agency for a routine installment agreement to pay that amount, as the last administrative step of that matter.

That is the only collection-resolution step Aeday takes. Aeday does not ask for one for a balance from any other matter, and does not provide an Offer in Compromise, a currently-not-collectible request, levy or lien release work, tax-debt settlement, or any similar collection-resolution service.

Until a tax agency assesses an amount, the amount in your notice is the adjustment the notice proposes, and disputing it is part of the representation your plan provides, before it becomes a bill.

6. Requesting representation

If you receive a tax notice or believe a Covered Matter has begun:

  1. sign in to your Aeday account;
  2. submit a Request for Representation within the time section 8 allows;
  3. upload the complete notice and requested records;
  4. accurately answer questions about when and how the matter began; and
  5. complete any engagement letter, consent, authorization, IRS Form 2848, state power of attorney, or other document required for representation within the time section 8 allows.

A membership by itself does not authorize a practitioner to act before the IRS or a state agency.

7. Coverage determination

Every Request for Representation is reviewed by a person on our team, against the terms of your membership and your Plan Schedule. No Request is decided automatically.

Aeday begins that review promptly after you submit the Request. Aeday does not promise a decision within any particular number of hours or days.

Aeday may use an automated check to prepare a Request for that review and to show the reviewer what your membership record and the dates on your notice indicate. An automated check never decides a Request.

Before deciding, Aeday may ask you for more information, records, or documents, and tells you what it needs. The Request stays open while Aeday waits for your answer, for the time allowed for answering.

Aeday tells you by email, and in your Aeday account, when it needs more information from you and when it has decided your Request.

Aeday decides each Request in its discretion, exercised in good faith, on the information you provide and any information it reasonably obtains.

You must show that a matter is a Covered Matter: that it began on or after your Coverage Effective Date, that your Plan includes it, and that you met each condition in section 8. Aeday may treat the date printed on the earliest notice you submit about a matter as the date it began, unless information Aeday has or obtains shows an earlier date. If you do not submit a notice that shows its date, the matter is treated as having begun before your Coverage Effective Date.

Aeday may deny a Request for Representation when:

  • the matter is excluded;
  • the matter began before the Coverage Effective Date;
  • required eligibility information was materially false or incomplete;
  • the Member refuses to provide information reasonably necessary to evaluate or handle the matter;
  • representation would violate law, professional ethics, licensing requirements, or a conflict-of-interest rule;
  • another express exclusion applies; or
  • the Member has engaged in fraud or abuse, as determined under section 16.

If Aeday declines a Request, Aeday states the ground the decision rests on.

Aeday does not have an unlimited discretionary right to deny an otherwise Covered Matter.

If, after Aeday accepts a Request, facts show that a ground in this section applied, or you do not meet a condition in section 8, Aeday may deny the Request and stop work on it.

Aeday's decision on a Request is final. Aeday may look at a denied Request again if you send information that was not available when it was made, but it does not have to, and doing so does not extend any time this Agreement allows.

If Aeday accepts a Request, Aeday assigns an authorized professional to the Covered Matter.

8. Your duties and conditions of coverage

Each of the following is a condition of coverage for every Request for Representation. A Request that does not meet one is excluded, and Aeday may deny it, including after it has been accepted.

  1. Submit the complete notice, every page of it, through your Aeday account no later than 90 days after the date printed on it. If the notice reached you too late for that, submit it within 90 days after it reached you, and show when it reached you, for example with its postmarked envelope.
  2. Answer each question Aeday asks you about a matter, and provide each record or document it asks for, within 30 days after Aeday asks. If you do not, you have refused to provide it.
  3. Sign each engagement letter, authorization, IRS Form 2848, or state power of attorney that the representation needs within 30 days after Aeday asks.
  4. Give Aeday complete and truthful information, and only genuine documents that have not been altered.
  5. Send Aeday every later notice, and every other communication you receive from a tax agency about the matter, within 30 days after you receive it.
  6. Tell Aeday before you respond to a tax agency about the matter, agree to or sign anything it proposes, or let anyone else represent you on it. Aeday is not responsible for the effect of anything you do on a matter without telling Aeday first.
  7. Keep the contact information on your account current, and read and answer the messages Aeday sends you about the matter.
  8. Cooperate with Aeday and with the professional assigned to the matter, and do nothing that prevents or delays the representation.

Aeday may allow more time in a particular case. Doing so does not change any condition for another case, and it is not a promise to allow more time again.

Meeting these conditions does not by itself make a matter a Covered Matter.

9. No guarantee of outcome

Aeday and its professionals do not control tax-agency decisions.

No particular result is guaranteed. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your tax filings and for all amounts legally owed.

Aeday does not promise that a notice will be withdrawn, that an adjustment will be reduced or removed, that a penalty will be removed, that a tax agency will accept a response or extend a deadline, or that any matter will be resolved by any particular time.

Every deadline a tax agency sets is yours to meet. Submitting a Request does not stop a deadline running, and Aeday is not responsible for a deadline that passes before you submit the notice, or while you have not met a condition in section 8.

10. Professional assignment and authority

Aeday may select or reassign an authorized professional based on credentials, jurisdiction, workload, conflicts, complexity, and availability.

An assigned professional may require a separate professional engagement or power of attorney where legally or ethically necessary.

Aeday alone decides which professional is assigned to a Covered Matter, and you may not require Aeday to assign, keep, or replace a particular professional.

11. Professional confidentiality and privilege

Aeday protects Member information in accordance with applicable law and the Aeday Privacy Policy.

Not every communication with a tax professional is protected by attorney-client privilege. Any attorney-client, federally authorized tax-practitioner, work-product, or other privilege depends on the professional involved, the nature of the communication, and applicable law.

12. Membership price and automatic renewal

The price displayed and accepted at checkout is your membership price.

The price of each plan, its billing cadences and the price of each add-on are stated in the Plan Schedule.

A monthly membership automatically renews each month until you cancel.

An annual membership is charged for the whole year at checkout and automatically renews each year until you cancel.

At checkout, Aeday will clearly disclose the amount charged today, recurring renewal amount, when recurring charges begin, and how to cancel.

By affirmatively enrolling, you authorize Aeday and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method according to those disclosed terms.

13. Payments, refunds, and cancellation

Except under the money-back guarantee below, where required by law, or in the case of a verified billing error, payments are non-refundable once processed.

If you cancel within 30 days after your Membership Start Date and you have not submitted a Request for Representation, Aeday refunds every payment it has processed for your membership, including any add-on (the "30-day money-back guarantee"). Days are counted as calendar days in the America/Chicago time zone.

When the guarantee applies, your membership and your coverage end when you cancel, and you are not charged again. The guarantee applies once, to your first Aeday membership only. It does not apply if you have held an Aeday membership before, or once you have submitted a Request for Representation, whether or not Aeday has accepted it; cancellation is then governed by the other terms of this section.

Apart from the money-back guarantee above, nothing in your membership entitles you to a refund of a payment already processed. Aeday may refund a payment, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, after a person on our team has considered a request for one. A refund made in one case does not entitle you or anyone else to a refund in any other case.

You may cancel at any time through your Aeday account or another cancellation method we make available. Cancellation stops future renewal charges.

Unless applicable law or the Plan Schedule states otherwise:

  • cancellation is effective at the end of your then-current paid billing period;
  • payments already processed are not refunded, except under the money-back guarantee;
  • no new matter arising after coverage ends is eligible; and
  • a Request for Representation must be submitted while your membership is active.

Once you cancel, you are not charged again, and your coverage continues through the last day of the period you have already paid for.

Aeday reviews your Requests for Representation and works on your Covered Matters only while your membership is active. Your membership is active through your paid-through date, including after you cancel.

If your membership ends, Aeday stops work on your open Requests and Covered Matters after your paid-through date. Before it stops, Aeday tells you where each one stands, including any response deadline it knows of. An assigned professional may continue to represent you at your own cost under a separate engagement.

A period whose payment is refunded in full, or is disputed with your card issuer, is not a period you paid for, and a matter that first arises in it is not covered.

If that payment was for your current period, your coverage ends when the refund is made or the dispute is opened, your membership ends, and you are not charged again.

14. Failed payments

If a payment fails, Aeday may retry the payment method as permitted by law and payment-network rules and may notify you to update your payment method.

If a renewal payment fails, your coverage continues through the last day of the period you already paid for and for a grace period of 7 days after that day, while the payment is retried.

A matter that first arises while your membership is paid is not denied because a later payment is past due.

A matter that first arises during the grace period is covered on the same terms as one that arises during a period you paid for.

If the payment is not made by the end of the grace period, your coverage and your membership end and no further payment is attempted. A matter that first arises after your coverage has ended, outside every period you paid for and its grace period, is not eligible.

If a renewal payment is still past due at the end of the grace period, work on your open Requests and Covered Matters stops when your membership ends.

15. Changes to price or material membership terms

Your membership renews at the price you enrolled at, and an add-on renews at the price you added it at, even if the prices Aeday offers to new members change later. Your Aeday account shows the price you pay.

Aeday may change the price of your membership or of an add-on at any time. Before a new price applies to you, Aeday will email you at least 30 days before the first billing date at the new price, stating the new price, that date and how to cancel. The new price applies from that billing date.

If you do not want the new price, you may cancel before that billing date, and you will not be charged the new price.

Aeday may change membership terms other than price prospectively.

For an existing Member, Aeday will provide advance notice of a material reduction in recurring membership benefits where required by law.

A change to a term other than price applies to your membership from your first renewal after the change takes effect, unless the law requires it sooner or the change only adds to what your Plan includes. A change never applies to a Request you submitted before it took effect. If you do not want a change, you may cancel before it applies to you.

16. Fraud and abuse

Aeday may deny a Request for Representation, and may terminate a membership, for fraud or abuse only on a documented, reasonable determination that the Member, or someone acting for the Member, has engaged in one of the following:

  • fraud;
  • a material misrepresentation, including falsifying a notice date or misrepresenting eligibility;
  • submitting fabricated or altered documents, including altered tax-agency documents;
  • concealing a matter that existed, or that the Member knew of, before the Coverage Effective Date;
  • submitting a duplicate or fictitious Request for Representation; or
  • similar abuse of the membership, such as impersonating another taxpayer, using the membership to facilitate unlawful conduct, or a pattern of enrolling, cancelling, or submitting Requests that shows an attempt to obtain representation for matters that began before the Coverage Effective Date.

A person on our team makes that determination from the facts reasonably available and records the facts it rests on. Suspected fraud or abuse is referred to a person for review and is never decided automatically.

Aeday does not deny an otherwise Covered Matter, or terminate a membership, for fraud or abuse at its discretion alone.

Termination for fraud or abuse does not require Aeday to refund prior payments, except where required by law.

If Aeday makes that determination:

  • Aeday may deny every Request the fraud or abuse concerns, including one it has already accepted, and stop work on it;
  • Aeday may end your membership at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again;
  • you must repay Aeday's cost of the representation work it performed on each Request the fraud or abuse concerns; and
  • Aeday may refuse to accept you as a Member again.

17. Taxes and third-party costs

Membership fees do not include taxes assessed against you, penalties or interest, filing fees, court costs, expert-witness fees, outside appraisals, third-party accounting or bookkeeping, amended-return preparation, or other third-party costs not expressly included in your Plan.

Aeday does not pay, reimburse, or share the fees of a representative or other professional you engage yourself, whether or not the matter is a Covered Matter.

18. Electronic records and communications

You consent to receive this Agreement, Plan Schedules, billing notices, receipts, cancellation confirmations, and service communications electronically.

We send these records to the email address on your account or make them available in your Aeday account. This consent applies to them for as long as you are a Member, unless you withdraw it.

Paper copies You may ask for a paper copy of any record we have provided to you electronically by writing to support@aeday.com or to Aeday LLC, 2830 S Hulen St, Fort Worth, TX 76109. We mail it to the mailing address on your account, or to one you give us in your request. There is no fee for a paper copy.

Changing your email address To change the email address we use for your account and your records, write to support@aeday.com from the address on your account and tell us the new address. We then write to both addresses, and the change takes effect only after you reply from each of them. When it takes effect, you are signed out of every browser, a Google sign-in linked to your account is unlinked, and you sign in with the new address.

Withdrawing your consent You may withdraw your consent to receive records electronically at any time, at no charge, by writing to support@aeday.com or to Aeday LLC, 2830 S Hulen St, Fort Worth, TX 76109. Withdrawing does not end your membership, and it does not change the legal effect of any record we provided, or any signature you gave, before the withdrawal takes effect. After it takes effect, we mail you, at no charge, a paper copy of each record this section lists that we send you by email; our emails to you continue, and paper reaches you more slowly than email. Sign-in codes and account-security messages are sent by email only, because they are how you sign in.

What you need To receive and keep electronic records you need a device with a current web browser that can display, save and print web pages and PDF files, and an email account that receives messages at the address on your account. If these requirements change in a way that could stop you from reading or keeping your records, we will tell you before the change, and you may withdraw this consent without charge.

A form you sign electronically through your account, such as IRS Form 8821, carries its own consent to sign electronically, which says how to sign it on paper instead and how to get a paper copy.

19. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in the Aeday Privacy Policy.

Tax documents should be submitted only through methods Aeday designates for secure document transmission.

20. Governing law

Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, this Agreement is governed by the laws of Texas.

Any court proceeding concerning this Agreement must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Tarrant County, Texas, unless applicable law requires a different forum.

21. Entire agreement and order of precedence

Your membership agreement consists of:

  1. the checkout disclosures you affirmatively accepted;
  2. the applicable Plan Schedule;
  3. this Membership Service Agreement;
  4. the Payments, Cancellation & Refund Policy; and
  5. any matter-specific professional engagement required for a Covered Matter.

For pricing and renewal terms, the checkout terms you accepted control.

For the scope of Plan benefits, the Plan Schedule controls.

Nothing said or written about your membership outside the documents listed above, whether in advertising, on a website, in an email, or in a conversation, by Aeday or by any professional, adds to your membership agreement or changes it.

22. Severability

If a provision of this Agreement is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

23. Limitation of liability

Please read this section carefully. It limits what Aeday is liable to you for, including where a loss is caused by Aeday's own negligence.

Aeday is not liable for any tax, penalty, interest, assessment, or other amount a tax agency says you owe, or for any loss that follows from a decision of a tax agency, a deadline that passed before you submitted a notice, information you did not provide, or anything you did on a matter without telling Aeday first.

Aeday is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost income, profits, or opportunities, arising out of your membership, this Agreement, or any Request.

The most Aeday is liable for, in total, for everything arising out of or relating to your membership, this Agreement, or any Request, whether in contract, from negligence, or otherwise, is the amount you paid Aeday for your membership in the 12 months before the event the liability arises from.

This section does not reduce the representation the Plan Schedule says Aeday provides on a Covered Matter.

These limits do not apply to liability the law does not allow to be limited, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud, and they do not limit a professional's own duties to you under the law and the professional rules that apply to that professional. Where the law of the place you live does not allow a limit in this section, the limit applies to the fullest extent that law allows.

24. Your responsibility for your own conduct

You will repay Aeday for any loss, cost, penalty, or reasonable legal fee Aeday incurs because information you gave it was false or incomplete, because a document you gave it was not genuine, because of fraud or abuse determined under section 16, or because you broke this Agreement or the law.

This does not make you responsible for a loss caused by Aeday's own negligence or misconduct.

26. General terms

You may not transfer your membership, or any right under this Agreement, to anyone else. Aeday may transfer this Agreement to a business that takes over the service, and tells you if it does.

If Aeday does not enforce a term of this Agreement in one case, it has not given up its right to enforce that term later or in any other case.

No employee, professional, or other person can change this Agreement by anything they say or write to you. It changes only as section 15 describes.

Aeday gives you notices under this Agreement by email to the address on your account or in your Aeday account, and a notice is given when it is sent. You give Aeday notice by writing to support@aeday.com or to Aeday LLC, 2830 S Hulen St, Fort Worth, TX 76109.

Sections 9, 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, and this section continue to apply after your membership ends.

Aeday Plan Schedule

What each Aeday plan covers, what depends on your plan, and what you are responsible for.

Effective

Your Plan

This Plan Schedule forms part of the Aeday Membership Service Agreement.

Words defined in the Membership Service Agreement have the same meaning in this Plan Schedule.

Plan Aeday Standard or Aeday Premium, as selected at checkout

This Plan Schedule covers both Aeday plans. Every term in it applies to both plans, except the terms under "What depends on your plan", where each plan's column states that plan's term.

Membership type Recurring monthly or annual prepaid professional-services membership, as selected at checkout

Coverage Individual IRS and participating-state income-tax representation for Covered Matters described below

Participating state A state whose individual income-tax matters Aeday's provider network supports when you submit the matter. A person on our team reviews each state matter that falls within your coverage dates, and confirms whether its state participates, before Aeday decides whether it is covered.

Coverage for future IRS and state tax matters. Coverage becomes effective on the day of your first successful payment. Matters arising, dated, received, initiated, or otherwise existing before your Coverage Effective Date are not covered.

An add-on is offered after your first successful payment, at its price for your membership's billing cycle, and it is billed on that same cycle. You agree to each add-on separately when you add it, and you can end it on its own without ending your membership. An add-on you end is not renewed and is not charged again, and it stays on your Plan through the last day of the period you have already paid for, then ends.

What spouse coverage adds to your Plan is defined under "Coverage limits", as "Spouse coverage".

When coverage begins

Your membership begins when your first successful payment is processed.

Representation coverage begins on the day of that payment.

A matter is not covered if it arises, is dated, is received, is initiated, or otherwise exists before your Coverage Effective Date. This includes:

  • a letter or notice you already possess;
  • a notice dated before the Coverage Effective Date;
  • an audit, examination, inquiry, or agency matter initiated before the Coverage Effective Date;
  • an agency matter of which you had actual knowledge before the Coverage Effective Date;

A matter relating to a prior tax year may still qualify if the agency matter itself first arises after your Coverage Effective Date and no other exclusion applies.

What's included

Subject to the Membership Service Agreement, both plans include professional administrative representation for qualifying individual income-tax matters such as:

IRS and state tax notices Professional review and response to qualifying notices from the IRS and participating state individual income-tax agencies.

Income-matching and underreporter notices Qualifying notices stating that income or information reported to a tax agency does not match the agency's records, including IRS notices CP2000 and CP2501, related proposed-adjustment notices, and later administrative correspondence such as CP3219A, before any court proceeding.

Math-error and return-adjustment notices Qualifying notices, including the CP10, CP11, CP12, CP13 and CP24 families and similar notices, in which the IRS changes income, credits, withholding, a refund, the tax, or another item on a return, reviewed and challenged where appropriate.

Correspondence examinations Qualifying audits or examinations conducted primarily through mail or electronic correspondence, including the Letter 566 series and similar requests for records or substantiation.

Office and field examinations Qualifying examinations the IRS or a participating state agency holds in person, at an agency office or at your home or place of business, including IRS office-audit letters such as the 3572 series and field-examination letters such as 2205-A and 2205-B. A person on our team reviews each such request that falls within your coverage dates, before Aeday decides whether it is covered.

Individual income-tax examinations Professional representation for qualifying administrative IRS or participating-state examinations included within your Plan.

Credit, deduction, and documentation disputes Qualifying notices challenging eligibility for credits or deductions, withholding, filing status, dependents, or other positions reported on a return, when the dispute can be resolved through administrative representation before the agency.

State tax equivalents Comparable notices, proposed adjustments, information requests, correspondence examinations, office and field examinations, and administrative appeals from the individual income-tax agency of a participating state.

Administrative tax appeals Representation in challenging a covered IRS or participating-state examination or proposed adjustment administratively before the agency, where it can be challenged that way.

Notice review When you submit a notice, Aeday identifies the issue it raises, its deadlines, the information it requests, and whether representation under your Plan applies.

Representation work Where appropriate and legally authorized, an assigned professional reviews your records, obtains the authorizations representation needs, communicates with the agency, prepares written responses, provides documentation, disputes incorrect adjustments, attends covered examinations where necessary, and works the Covered Matter through the covered administrative stage.

Aeday Premium also includes the matters listed for it under "What depends on your plan".

Coverage limits

Representation Benefit Limit Subject to the Membership Service Agreement and this Plan Schedule, Aeday represents you on each Covered Matter through the authorized professionals it assigns under section 10 of that Agreement, whether employees, independent professionals, affiliated firms, or contracted practitioners. The Representation Benefit Limit is $50,000 for each Covered Matter. It is the most Aeday will spend on the representation of that Covered Matter, measured by Aeday's own cost of the representation work those professionals perform on it. Representation work on a Covered Matter after Aeday's cost for that Covered Matter reaches the Representation Benefit Limit is not covered. The Representation Benefit Limit is subject to the Membership Service Agreement and this Plan Schedule.

Spouse coverage Spouse coverage, the add-on stated under "Add-ons", adds your spouse to your Plan as a second covered person. It does not change the Representation Benefit Limit, which stays $50,000 for each Covered Matter, and each of your spouse's own Covered Matters has that same limit. While spouse coverage stands, your Plan therefore carries up to $100,000 in representation coverage: the Representation Benefit Limit for one Covered Matter of yours and one of your spouse's. That figure is two Representation Benefit Limits added together, not a limit on your Plan as a whole.

Neither plan excludes a matter because of how many years ago the tax year it concerns ended.

How a request is decided

If Aeday accepts a Request, Aeday assigns an authorized professional to the Covered Matter.

If Aeday declines a Request, Aeday states the ground the decision rests on.

Who may represent you

Aeday may assign an attorney, CPA, EA, or other practitioner legally authorized to provide the required representation.

You may be required to sign an IRS Form 2848, state power of attorney, or other authorization before a professional can communicate with the agency on your behalf.

What's not included

Neither plan includes:

  • any matter beginning before the Coverage Effective Date, and every later notice about it, whatever date it carries;
  • Tax Court, state court, federal court, bankruptcy court, or other court proceedings;
  • preparing, amending, or filing tax returns as a standalone service;
  • bookkeeping or accounting work;
  • payment or reimbursement of taxes, penalties, interest, fines, or assessments;
  • tax-debt relief or collection-resolution services, including Offers in Compromise, installment-agreement negotiation, currently-not-collectible requests, levy or lien release work, tax-debt settlement, or similar collection-resolution services, except as stated under this list;
  • criminal tax investigations or criminal defense;
  • intentional tax fraud or tax-evasion matters;
  • business-entity returns or entity-level matters;
  • payroll, employment, excise, estate, gift, trust, foreign, or local tax matters;
  • general tax planning unrelated to a Covered Matter;
  • any matter for which you did not meet a condition under "Your responsibilities";
  • any matter on which a person other than Aeday, or a professional Aeday assigned, represents you before a tax agency;
  • third-party expert, appraisal, filing, or court costs unless expressly stated; or
  • any exclusion stated in the Membership Service Agreement.

Aeday Standard also does not include the matters listed for it under "What depends on your plan".

Your responsibilities

Price and renewal

Your exact price is the price shown and accepted at checkout.

The price of each plan is stated under "What depends on your plan".

A monthly membership automatically renews each month until you cancel.

An annual membership is charged for the whole year at checkout and automatically renews each year until you cancel.

Payments are non-refundable once processed, except under the money-back guarantee below, where required by law or for a verified billing error.

You may cancel at any time to prevent future renewal charges. Cancellation does not refund payments already processed, except under the money-back guarantee.

Your paid-through date

Paid-through date The last day of the period you have already paid for.

Once you cancel, you are not charged again, and your coverage continues through the last day of the period you have already paid for.

Aeday works on your open Requests and Covered Matters only while your membership is active. If you cancel, that work continues through your paid-through date and then stops.

A period whose payment is refunded in full, or is disputed with your card issuer, is not a period you paid for, and a matter that first arises in it is not covered.

If that payment was for your current period, your coverage ends when the refund is made or the dispute is opened, your membership ends, and you are not charged again.

Payments, Cancellation & Refund Policy

What you are charged, when renewals happen, how to cancel, and when a refund is available.

Effective

Membership pricing

This policy applies to Aeday memberships and supplements the Aeday Membership Service Agreement.

The exact amount shown and affirmatively accepted at checkout controls.

The price of each plan, its billing cadences and the price of each add-on are stated in the Plan Schedule.

A monthly membership automatically renews each month until you cancel.

An annual membership is charged for the whole year at checkout and automatically renews each year until you cancel.

Automatic renewal

By affirmatively enrolling, you authorize Aeday and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method according to the renewal terms shown at checkout.

Payments and refunds

Payments are non-refundable once processed, except:

  • where a refund is required by law;
  • where Aeday verifies a billing error, such as a duplicate or unauthorized charge for which Aeday is responsible; or
  • under the money-back guarantee below.

If you cancel within 30 days after your Membership Start Date and you have not submitted a Request for Representation, Aeday refunds every payment it has processed for your membership, including any add-on (the "30-day money-back guarantee"). Except under the money-back guarantee, cancellation does not retroactively refund payments already made.

A period whose payment is refunded in full, or is disputed with your card issuer, is not a period you paid for, and a matter that first arises in it is not covered.

If that payment was for your current period, your coverage ends when the refund is made or the dispute is opened, your membership ends, and you are not charged again.

When coverage begins

Your membership begins with your first successful payment, and representation coverage begins on the day of that payment.

Matters arising, dated, received, initiated, or otherwise existing before the Coverage Effective Date are not covered.

How to cancel

You may cancel at any time through your Aeday account or another cancellation method Aeday makes available.

Cancellation stops future renewal charges.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, your membership remains active through the end of your then-current paid billing period.

Once you cancel, you are not charged again, and your coverage continues through the last day of the period you have already paid for.

Aeday works on your open Requests and Covered Matters only while your membership is active. If you cancel, that work continues through your paid-through date and then stops.

We will provide a cancellation confirmation.

Failed payments

If a recurring payment fails, Aeday may retry the payment method as permitted by law and payment-network rules and ask you to update your payment method.

Aeday Privacy Policy

What personal and tax information Aeday collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Effective

About this Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Aeday LLC, doing business as Aeday ("Aeday," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use https://aeday.com, create an account, enroll in a membership, communicate with us, or request representation.

Aeday is a United States business. The service is offered to taxpayers in the United States, for United States federal and state tax notices, and this Site is not directed to people in other countries. The Site can be reached from anywhere, and what this Policy describes happens for whoever opens a page, wherever they are.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly We may collect name, email address, phone number, mailing address, account credentials, eligibility questionnaire responses, employment or income-category information, tax-year and filing-status information, information about whether you have an existing or prior tax matter, communications, support requests, cancellation requests, and other information you choose to provide.

Your email address in the sign-up The questions page of the sign-up ends by asking where to send your savings estimate. When you press to see your savings, we save the email address you give there on our server with your sign-up, before you see your plan and its price, and we use it to fill in the email box on the payment page. We also keep that address as our record of a person who has given us an email address and has not paid, which is the record the sign-up page where you pay uses too. Under the email address, the questions page also asks for your phone number, which you may leave blank. If you give one, we save it with your sign-up when you press to see your savings, replace it if you give another, and, if you join, use it to fill in the phone number box on the setup page; it is saved to your account only when you continue from that page. On the sign-up page where you pay, we save the email address you type into the email box on our server as soon as it looks like a complete email address, before you press to pay, and we replace it when you change it to another complete address, so we keep one address at a time. We keep it with your sign-up whether or not you go on to pay. Section 2 says what we send to it, and section 5 says what we report to Meta.

Information about your spouse If you add spouse coverage to your membership, we collect the name and phone number you give us for your spouse, and use them to administer that coverage.

Tax and representation information If you submit a tax notice or Request for Representation, we may collect highly sensitive information contained in tax records, including IRS or state tax notices, tax-account information, taxpayer identification information, portions of tax returns, income information, agency transcripts, identity-verification information, correspondence, and documents reasonably necessary to evaluate or perform representation.

Please submit tax documents only through the secure methods Aeday designates.

Payment information Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. Aeday may receive payment status, card brand, last four digits, billing ZIP code, transaction identifiers, renewal dates, and fraud/risk information.

Device, website, and usage information We may collect IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, campaign attribution information, and website interaction data.

Sign-up step counts Aeday itself counts, on its own server, how many visits reach each step of the sign-up and whether a visit came from a Meta ad, a Google ad or elsewhere. Each count is a step, where the visit came from, and the time, and, on the coverage page, the kind of device and browser app (for example, Instagram on an Android phone), which question you opened and, for a refused payment, the kind of error, with no identifier: nothing in it names you or your browser. It goes to no one outside Aeday, and it continues when advertising measurement is turned off.

Advertising click identifiers If you arrive from a Google or YouTube ad, we collect the ad click identifier Google adds to the link (called gclid, gbraid, or wbraid) and keep it with your sign-up. If you arrive from a Meta ad on Facebook or Instagram, we collect the ad click identifier Meta adds to the link (called fbclid) and keep it the same way.

Advertising browser identifier Meta’s pixel stores a random identifier for your browser in a cookie called _fbp on our sign-up pages. When you press to see your savings at the end of the sign-up questions, when you leave the email box on the payment page holding an email address you typed there or gave on the questions page, when you start to enter a payment with such an address in that box, when you leave or switch away from that page holding an email address you typed there, when the coverage page is first shown to you, when you first reach its payment form, when you complete the card details there, and when you press to pay, our server reads that identifier from your browser, if it is there, and keeps it with your sign-up. We never create one ourselves.

Your name and phone number on the setup page After you join, the setup page asks for your name and phone number so that a practitioner knows who they are working for when you submit a case. We also use them to measure our advertising: the report of your purchase to Meta carries scrambled codes made from them, as section 5 describes, where your choice to turn advertising measurement off is also explained.

2. How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • operate the Site and member portal;
  • create and secure accounts;
  • determine Plan eligibility;
  • enroll and administer memberships;
  • process payments and recurring renewals;
  • send receipts and service communications;
  • evaluate Requests for Representation;
  • determine whether a tax matter is covered;
  • assign authorized tax professionals;
  • perform tax-representation services;
  • prepare powers of attorney and related authorizations;
  • communicate with tax agencies where authorized;
  • prevent fraud and abuse;
  • provide customer support;
  • improve our products and Site;
  • measure advertising and marketing performance;
  • conduct analytics;
  • comply with law and professional obligations; and
  • protect Aeday, Members, professionals, and others from security threats.

Your savings estimate by email. When you give us your email address on the questions page, we send it one email with a copy of your estimate: the plan we matched you to, with its monthly price and the terms that apply to that price if you enroll, and your estimated yearly savings, with the estimate’s own notes. It is a marketing email from Aeday, sent through the provider we use to send email. We send a sign-up no more than one copy to each inbox, so seeing your savings again, for example after you change your answers, sends nothing new to an inbox that already has one; if you correct your address, we send a copy to the new one, for no more than five inboxes in one sign-up. We send no more than five copies to the same inbox in any 24 hours, and we may send fewer, for example when many are asked for from one connection in a short time. We treat addresses that differ only by a part after a “+” sign, or, for a Gmail address, only by its dots, as one inbox. It carries a link that unsubscribes you in one step. Unsubscribing stops our marketing email to that address, the estimate and any offer, and never stops the email your account needs, such as sign-in codes, receipts and updates about a case. If you give us an address on the questions page that had unsubscribed from our marketing email, asking for your estimate there re-subscribes it: we send the copy, and from then on the most recent of your choices, to unsubscribe or to re-subscribe, decides whether we send that address our marketing email, the estimate and any offer. To honor an unsubscribe, a re-subscription and those limits, we keep a scrambled code made from the address instead of the address itself, with the record of each estimate we send, each unsubscribe and each re-subscription. The code is a SHA-256 hash, which is not the address and cannot be read back as one, though someone who already knows an address can produce the same code from it. Turning advertising measurement off on the Your Privacy Choices page does not stop this email, because it is not advertising measurement; the link in the email is how to stop it.

3. Sensitive tax information is not used for advertising targeting

Aeday does not use the contents of uploaded tax notices, tax returns, taxpayer identification numbers, detailed tax-account information, or representation communications to create advertising audiences or personalize third-party advertising.

Advertising and analytics technologies should not be placed on secure document-upload or representation pages in a manner that transmits sensitive tax-document contents to advertising providers.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • service providers for hosting, storage, payments, email, customer support, fraud prevention, identity verification, cybersecurity, analytics, and operations;
  • attorneys, CPAs, EAs, and other authorized professionals or firms as necessary to evaluate, assign, and perform representation;
  • the IRS or applicable state tax agency when you authorize representation;
  • analytics or advertising providers for limited website/device analytics and campaign measurement where permitted;
  • government authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate fraud, or address security incidents; and
  • parties to a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or business sale as permitted by law.

We do not disclose uploaded tax-document contents or detailed tax-representation information to advertising platforms for advertising purposes.

5. Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising

Aeday does not sell personal information for money.

We may use third-party advertising or analytics technologies that receive limited cookie, device, or browsing information. Under some state privacy laws, certain disclosures for targeted advertising may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising."

Where applicable, you may opt out through the privacy-choice mechanism provided on the Site or by contacting privacy@aeday.com.

Aeday does not sell sensitive tax-document information.

Google ad measurement. We use the Google tag, provided by Google LLC, to measure whether our ads on Google and YouTube lead to visits and enrollments. It loads on five pages of my.aeday.com: the four sign-up pages — the questions, the plan and payment page, its plan terms page, and the coverage page, where you choose a plan and pay without the questions — and the setup page you land on after you join. It loads when one of those pages opens, whether or not you arrived from an ad. It does not load anywhere else on my.aeday.com — not on your dashboard, not on your billing page, not where you send us a tax notice, and not where you sign a tax authorization — and it does not load on aeday.com.

The Your Privacy Choices page on aeday.com is where you turn advertising measurement off, and your choice is kept by your browser for aeday.com. It reaches those five pages of my.aeday.com by travelling with you when you follow a link from aeday.com into the sign-up, and is then remembered there. If you reach a sign-up page without passing through aeday.com at all — by typing its address, or by following one of our ads or any other link that points straight at it — your choice cannot travel, and the tag loads on that page until you have been through aeday.com once and turned advertising measurement off there.

When you arrive from a Google or YouTube ad, the ad click identifier is carried into the sign-up on my.aeday.com in the address of the link you follow, and we keep it with your sign-up. If you become a member, the purchase is reported to Google in two ways: from your own browser, by the Google tag on the setup page you land on after you join, and from our server.

The report from your browser carries the amount you paid for the membership, the currency, the address of that page without anything after the question mark, and a reference for your membership, which is what lets Google count one purchase however many times that page is opened. It carries nothing that identifies you. The report from our server carries the ad click identifier, the time, the same amount, and a scrambled code made from your email address instead of the address itself, which helps Google recognize the purchase as yours. The code is a SHA-256 hash, which is not the address and cannot be read back as one, though someone who already knows an address can produce the same code from it. Neither report carries your name, phone number, answers, or any tax information. We delete the code as soon as Google has answered, and in every case at the same time as the ad click identifier, which section 7 covers.

The Google tag itself does something further, which is not part of either report. It may collect an email address, and any name or phone number, that you type into a form on the pages it loads on, and send each to Google as a scrambled code made from what you typed instead of the value itself, so that Google can recognize a sign-up or a purchase as coming from someone who saw or clicked one of our ads. We have seen it do this with the email address typed on the payment page, and it may do the same with the email address you give on the questions page. The code is a SHA-256 hash, which is not the address and cannot be read back as one, though someone who already knows an address can produce the same code from it. Whether the tag does this is controlled by a setting in our Google Ads account, not by anything on the page, and that setting is on. It does not read your answers, your card details, or any tax information.

Meta ad measurement. We use the Meta pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram lead to visits and enrollments. It loads on the same five pages of my.aeday.com: the four sign-up pages, where you answer the questions, choose a plan and pay, and the setup page you land on after you join. It loads when one of those pages opens, whether or not you arrived from an ad. It does not load anywhere else on my.aeday.com — not on your dashboard, not on your billing page, not where you send us a tax notice, and not where you sign a tax authorization — and it does not load on aeday.com. How your choice to turn advertising measurement off reaches those five pages, and when it cannot, is in the next paragraph.

The pixel records that a page was viewed and, on the sign-up pages, which steps you reach: that you started the questions, which of the questions you answered, that you typed a complete email address, on the questions page or the payment page, that you saw the plan, that you switched between monthly and yearly billing, that you pressed the button that scrolls down to the payment form, that you started to enter a payment, and which boxes of the payment form you completed (the name on the card, the card number, the expiry date, the security code and the ZIP code), never what you typed into them. With each of those it records the address of the page, which can include the ad click identifier you arrived with, from a Google or YouTube ad as well as from a Meta ad; Meta keeps what the pixel records under its own terms. We give it no name, email address, phone number or answer, and we switch off the setting that would let it read what you have typed into a form. On the coverage page it also records that you saw the page; which of our two plans and which billing period you chose, as a product code such as aeday_standard_monthly with that plan’s price, never the words you chose it by; that you pressed the button that takes you to the payment form, or reached that form; how far down the page you scrolled; how long the page was open; which of its questions you opened; that you started to enter a payment and completed the card details; that you pressed to pay; and, if a payment is refused, the kind of error. Where our server also reports one of those steps, the pixel’s report carries the same reference for your sign-up, so that Meta counts the two as one. After you join from the coverage page, the pixel on the setup page also reports your purchase, with the amount, the product code and the same reference for your membership as our server’s report of it, so that Meta counts the two as one. When you first see your plan after the questions (and again, with the same reference, if your sign-up is restarted for you soon after), the pixel also reports that you qualified, as Meta’s standard Lead event, with the same reference for your sign-up as our server’s report of that step, so that Meta counts the two as one, and with the same plan and estimated yearly savings, which are worked out from your answers. Your choice on the Your Privacy Choices page on aeday.com reaches the pixel the same way it reaches the Google tag: it travels with you when you follow a link from aeday.com into the sign-up, and is then remembered there. If you reach a sign-up page without passing through aeday.com at all — by typing its address, or by following one of our ads or any other link that points straight at it — your choice cannot travel, and the pixel loads on that page until you have been through aeday.com once and turned advertising measurement off there.

A sign-up that starts on the coverage page has no questions, so nothing reports that you qualify. Instead our server reports when the coverage page is first shown to you, when you first reach its payment form, and when you complete the card details there, beside the payment step and the purchase described below, each once. Each of these three, and the payment step of such a sign-up, carries the product code of the plan and billing period you had chosen and that plan’s price in US dollars. Our server reports three steps of every sign-up to Meta, each once, whether or not you arrived from an ad: when the questions decide that you qualify, when you reach the payment step, and, if you become a member, when your first payment is taken. The questions end by asking for your email address, so the first of these is reported after you press to see your savings. You reach the payment step, for this report, the first time one of these happens while the email box on the payment page holds a complete email address: you leave the box, holding an address you typed there or gave on the questions page; you start to enter a payment, with such an address in the box; or you leave or switch away from that page, holding an address you typed there. Otherwise it is when you press to pay. It is reported whether or not you go on to pay. Each report carries the time and the address of the page on my.aeday.com where the step happened. The report that you qualify also carries the plan we matched you to and your estimated yearly savings in dollars, the figure the plan page showed you when you qualified; the payment step carries no amount at all; and the purchase carries the amount you paid for the membership and the currency. When you arrive from a Meta ad, the ad click identifier is carried into the sign-up on my.aeday.com in the address of the link you follow, we keep it with your sign-up, and each report carries it too. Each report also carries a reference for your sign-up (for the purchase, a reference for your membership), a random identifier we create, not your name or email address, which is what lets Meta count each step once however many times it is sent.

Those reports also carry things that help Meta recognize the steps as yours: the IP address and the browser description recorded when you started the sign-up (for the purchase, the sign-up you paid from); the browser identifier Meta’s pixel keeps in the _fbp cookie, which we keep with your sign-up until your purchase is reported, or, for a sign-up that does not end in a purchase, until the time section 7 states has passed; a scrambled code made from an identifier of your sign-up; and, on each report made once you have given an email address, a scrambled code made from it instead of the address itself. The code is a SHA-256 hash, which is not the address and cannot be read back as one, though someone who already knows an address can produce the same code from it. On the report that you qualify, the code is made from the email address you gave on the questions page, and, if you gave a phone number there, that report also carries a scrambled code made the same way from it. On the payment step, the code is made from the email address we saved from the email box when that report was made, or, where it was made when you pressed to pay, from the address you paid with; a change you make to the box after that is saved but not reported. On the coverage page’s reports, the code is made from the email address we saved from the email box, where there is one. The purchase also carries scrambled codes made the same way from your first name, your last name and your phone number, which we read when the purchase is reported and keep nowhere else for this. So we hold the report of your purchase until we have your name and phone number, which the setup page asks for, but no later than the first once-a-day run that comes at least 2 hours after your first payment is taken; a purchase reported before we have them is reported without them. We do not send your answers, your country, or any tax information. The plan and the estimated savings on the report that you qualify are worked out on our server from your answers; the answers themselves are not sent. We delete the copy of the browser identifier and the codes that each report carried as soon as Meta has confirmed receiving that report or has told us it took nothing from it, and everything we keep for these reports within the time section 7 states.

You can turn both off on the Your Privacy Choices page on aeday.com. Your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, so it applies to that browser, and it reaches the five pages of my.aeday.com in the way described above. Once it has, your browser tells our server when you press to see your savings at the end of the questions, when you leave the email box on the payment page holding an email address you typed there or gave on the questions page, when you start to enter a payment with such an address in that box, when you leave or switch away from that page holding an email address you typed there, when you press to pay and when you save your details on the setup page, and from then on our server sends Meta none of the reports above for your sign-up and keeps no Meta ad click identifier, browser identifier or scrambled code for those reports; a report already sent, or already on its way, when your browser told our server cannot be taken back. That part of your choice reaches our server’s reports to Meta only. For Google, your choice keeps the Google tag, and the report of your purchase from your browser, off those pages; it does not stop our server from keeping a Google or YouTube ad click identifier that arrives in the address of a sign-up page, or from reporting your purchase to Google from our server as described above. Your choice does not stop the email with a copy of your savings estimate that section 2 describes, which is not advertising measurement. Aeday does not act on Global Privacy Control or any other browser-based opt-out preference signal; that page, or an email to us, is how to opt out.

Session recordings. We use Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Corporation, to see how people use our pages so that we can fix what gets in their way. It loads on every page of aeday.com and on the same five pages of my.aeday.com as the pixel and the tag: the four sign-up pages and the setup page you land on after you join. It does not load anywhere else on my.aeday.com — not on your dashboard, not on your billing page, not where you send us a tax notice, and not where you sign a tax authorization.

Clarity records how you use those pages: where you click and tap, how far you scroll, which pages you open and in what order, what each page shows while you are on it, and the address of each page and of the links on it, which can include the ad click identifier when you arrive from an ad. It does not record what you type into a form: Clarity hides every text box, and we also hide your email address, your name and phone number, the codes we send you, the payment section, the answer choices on the sign-up questions and the plan choices on the coverage page. Hidden text appears in a recording as blocks, though the recording still shows where on the page you tapped. Clarity cannot see inside the card fields, which are Stripe’s. It is told which steps of the sign-up you reach, by the same names the pixel uses, and which of our plans you were shown or chose. We do not give it your name, your email address, or any account identifier.

Clarity sets two cookies of its own for aeday.com as a whole, so they are also sent to my.aeday.com, and Microsoft may set its own cookies on clarity.ms; the Cookie Policy names them. Microsoft receives what Clarity records. Under its own terms for Clarity, Microsoft may use that information as the Microsoft Privacy Statement describes, including to improve its products and to build profiles used for advertising; the statement is at https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement. Aeday has not linked Clarity to Microsoft Advertising and does not use Clarity to advertise, and our pages do not let Clarity’s script contact Microsoft’s advertising address, bing.com.

The switch on the Your Privacy Choices page on aeday.com turns Clarity off too. On aeday.com it stops Clarity on the page where you press it and on every page after. On the five pages of my.aeday.com your choice reaches Clarity the same way it reaches the pixel and the tag, with the same limit when you open a sign-up page without passing through aeday.com.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential Site functionality, authentication and security, preferences, analytics, attribution, and advertising where permitted.

See the Aeday Cookie Policy.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain your membership and account, perform representation, comply with legal and professional obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, de-identify, or securely archive it as permitted by law.

We keep the email address you give on the questions page, or type into the email box on the payment page, as section 1 describes, with your sign-up, whether or not you went on to pay. We have set no period after which we delete it; until we set one, we keep it. We use it only to fill it back into the sign-up’s email boxes for you, to send the copies of your savings estimate that section 2 describes, to make the scrambled codes that section 5 says we send on the report that you qualify and on the payment step, and, for the address you give on the questions page, to keep the record of a person who has given us an email address and has not paid that section 1 describes. The next paragraph’s limit does not apply to it. We keep the phone number you give on the questions page the same way, with your sign-up and with no period set, and use it only to fill in the setup page’s phone number box for you and to make the scrambled code that section 5 says we send on the report that you qualify.

We delete an ad click identifier, and the browser identifier, scrambled codes and copy of your plan and estimated savings that we keep for advertising measurement, no more than 90 days after we collect them. That limit does not reach what the Meta pixel and Microsoft Clarity record, which can include an ad click identifier in the address of a page, and for Clarity in the address of a link: Meta keeps what its pixel records under its own terms; Microsoft keeps what Clarity records as it keeps Clarity’s recordings, and uses it as section 5 says.

We also keep the record of each savings estimate we send, with a scrambled code made from the address it went to, and the record of each unsubscribe and each re-subscription, with a scrambled code made from that address, so that we can honor your most recent choice and the limits section 2 describes. We have set no period after which we delete these records; until we set one, we keep them. The limit above does not apply to them.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information.

Because tax documents can contain highly sensitive information, Aeday uses or intends to use controls such as encrypted transmission, encrypted storage, access restrictions, authentication controls, audit logging, vendor security review, and incident-response procedures.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Aeday Cookie Policy

What cookies and similar technologies Aeday uses, and the choices you have.

Effective

1. What are cookies?

This Cookie Policy explains how Aeday LLC, doing business as Aeday, uses cookies and similar technologies on https://aeday.com and on my.aeday.com, where you sign up, sign in and manage your membership.

Cookies are small data files stored on or accessed from your browser or device.

We may also use pixels, tags, local storage, server-side event tools, and similar technologies. The coverage page and the setup page also keep small markers in your browser’s storage so that a step or a purchase is reported once; they hold no identifier.

2. Categories we use

Strictly necessary Used for Site operation, sessions, authentication, security, enrollment, fraud prevention, and essential settings.

Analytics Used to understand page visits, Site performance, campaign attribution, and general usage trends.

Advertising and attribution Where permitted, used to measure ad performance, attribute enrollments, and deliver or measure targeted advertising.

Preferences Used to remember interface or consent choices.

Meta pixel When advertising measurement is on, the Meta pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., loads on five pages of my.aeday.com: the four sign-up pages (the questions, the plan and payment page, its plan terms page, and the coverage page) and the setup page you land on after you join. The pixel loads when one of those pages opens, whether or not you arrived from an ad. It sets two cookies: _fbp, which gives your browser a random identifier, and _fbc, which holds the identifier of the ad you clicked. Meta’s script sets them for aeday.com as a whole, so they are also sent to aeday.com, where Aeday’s own code does not read them. Meta stores each for up to 90 days, and Meta may set its own cookies on its own domains, such as facebook.com. When you press to see your savings at the end of the sign-up questions, when you leave the email box on the payment page holding an email address you typed there or gave on the questions page, when you start to enter a payment with such an address in that box, when you leave or switch away from that page holding an email address you typed there, and when you press to pay, our server reads the _fbp identifier from your browser, if it is there, keeps it with your sign-up and sends it to Meta with the reports the Privacy Policy describes, which also says how long it is kept; it never reads _fbc, and Aeday’s own code sets neither cookie. It loads on no other page of my.aeday.com: not your dashboard, not your billing page, not where you send us a tax notice, and not where you sign a tax authorization. It does not load on aeday.com, and Aeday’s own code sets no cookie on aeday.com either; the only script that sets cookies from a page of aeday.com is Microsoft Clarity’s, below.

Google tag When advertising measurement is on, the Google tag, provided by Google LLC, loads on the same five pages of my.aeday.com: the four sign-up pages and the setup page you land on after you join. It sets cookies on my.aeday.com whose names begin with _gcl_ (for example _gcl_au and _gcl_aw), which hold ad click information for up to 90 days, and Google may set its own cookies on its own domains, such as doubleclick.net. It loads on no other page of my.aeday.com: not your dashboard, not your billing page, not where you send us a tax notice, and not where you sign a tax authorization. It does not load on aeday.com.

Microsoft Clarity Unless you turn it off, Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Corporation, loads on every page of aeday.com and on the same five pages of my.aeday.com as the pixel and the tag, and records how those pages are used, with what you type hidden. It sets two cookies: _clck, which gives your browser a random identifier and keeps it for up to a year, and _clsk, which joins the pages of one visit together and lasts a day. It sets them for aeday.com as a whole, so they are sent to my.aeday.com as well, where Aeday’s own code does not read them. Microsoft may also set its own cookies on clarity.ms, such as CLID, MUID, ANONCHK and SM; Microsoft describes MUID as identifying browsers across Microsoft sites, for advertising, site analytics and other purposes. Our pages do not let Clarity’s script contact bing.com, where Microsoft keeps further advertising cookies. It loads on no other page of my.aeday.com: not your dashboard, not your billing page, not where you send us a tax notice, and not where you sign a tax authorization.

3. Sensitive tax information

Aeday does not intend to use advertising cookies or pixels to transmit the contents of uploaded IRS or state notices, tax returns, taxpayer identification numbers, tax-account transcripts, detailed representation communications, or similar sensitive tax information to advertising providers for advertising purposes.

Advertising and session-replay technologies should not be deployed on secure representation or document-upload pages in a manner that captures such information.

4. Your choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, the Site may provide a cookie settings control, a "Your Privacy Choices" link, or a targeted-advertising opt-out.

The Your Privacy Choices page on aeday.com turns advertising measurement off in your browser. The choice is kept in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, so it applies to that browser until you clear the site’s data.

The pixel and the tag load on my.aeday.com, and a browser keeps a choice like this one separately for each address, so your choice reaches them by travelling in the link when you go from aeday.com into the sign-up, and is then remembered on my.aeday.com. If you open a sign-up page without passing through aeday.com — by typing its address, or by following one of our ads or any other link that points straight at it — your choice cannot travel, and the pixel and the tag load on that page until you have been through aeday.com once and turned advertising measurement off there. Once your choice has reached the sign-up, your browser also tells our server when you press to see your savings at the end of the questions, when you leave the email box on the payment page holding an email address you typed there or gave on the questions page, when you start to enter a payment with such an address in that box, when you leave or switch away from that page holding an email address you typed there, when you press to pay and when you save your details on the setup page, and from then on our server keeps no _fbp identifier for your sign-up and sends Meta no further report for it.

The same choice turns Microsoft Clarity off. On aeday.com it stops Clarity on the page where you make it and on every page after; on the five pages of my.aeday.com it reaches Clarity the way it reaches the pixel and the tag, with the same limit.

5. Privacy preference signals

Aeday does not act on Global Privacy Control or any other browser-based opt-out preference signal. Sending one does not stop the Google tag, the Meta pixel, or the keeping of an ad click identifier. Microsoft’s own Clarity script may decline to record a browser that sends Global Privacy Control; that is Microsoft’s choice, not ours.

The Your Privacy Choices page on aeday.com is how to opt out of advertising measurement here, and you may also write to privacy@aeday.com.

Aeday is a United States business and offers its service to taxpayers in the United States, for United States federal and state tax notices. This Site is not directed to people in other countries. The Site can be reached from anywhere, and the cookies described here are set for whoever opens one of the pages named above, unless advertising measurement is turned off in that browser.
